Itinerary:

The following program is intended as an example and will be individually adapted to the group.

DAY 1: ARRIVAL AIRPORT – KRUJA – DURRES

Arrival at Tirana airport. You will be welcomed by your personal driver and tour guide. Your drive will take you to your first stop in Kruja, where you will visit the old town and the Skanderbeg Museum. Continuation to Durres with overnight stay at the beach hotel.

DAY 2: DURRES – BERAT

Today you will visit one of the largest amphitheater’s in the Balkans and the historical part of Durres. Afterwards you will continue to the UNESCO city of Berat, where you will visit the old town quarters and the fortress. Overnight in the old town.

DAY 3: BERAT – APOLLONIA – VLORA

Today you enjoy your breakfast in one of the old town houses in Berat. Your journey takes you further south to the ancient park Apollonia, with a visit to the ancient ruins and the monastery. Continuation to Vlora. Overnight in Vlora

DAY 4: VLORA – BUTRINT – SARANDA

Today is called Panorama Day. You will first be driven up to 1,100 m above sea level. From up here you will overlook the entire Albanian Riviera with fascinating views of Corfu. With small breaks you will drive along the coast to Butrint, a unique archaeological park, which is situated on a peninsula. Overnight in Saranda.

DAY 5: SARANDA – BLUE EYE – GJIROKASTRA

Today you will have breakfast with sea view. Continuation of the journey to one of Albania’s most beautiful water spring “Blue Eye”. Afterwards you drive on a winding pass road until a wide valley opens up in front of you, where the UNESCO city of Gjirokaster will soon be recognizable. In the city of a thousand steps a fascinating old town and a massive fortress await you. Overnight in the old town of Gjirokastra.

DAY 6: GJIROKASTRA – KORCA – POGRADEC

Similar to Berat, you will have breakfast in one of the old town houses. Continue eastwards along the breathtaking mountain landscape of the southern mountain ranges. After visiting Korca, the city of beer, we continue to Lake Ohrid. Overnight in Pogradec.

DAY 7: POGRADEC – ELBASAN – TIRANA

Today we start early in the direction of Tirana, but with a short stop in Elbasan. Perhaps an espresso on the Via Egnatia or in the city fortress? Now it is only half an hour to Tirana. The capital is very lively. There is a lot to see: Museums, bazaars and many curiosities. Overnight in Tirana.

DAY 8: TIRANA – AIRPORT

Depending on the time of departure you will have the opportunity to go for a walk or to do some shopping. Drive to the airport. Now it is time to say goodbye to Albania.
