Start in Sarajevo and end in Tirana! With Inside Balkan you have a 11 days tour package taking you through Sarajevo, Bosnia and 3 other destinations in Europe.

 

Introduction

Explore the beauty and diversity of the Balkans with this 11-day (10-night) itinerary that takes you through Bosnia, Montenegro, and Albania. You’ll start in Sarajevo, the former “Jerusalem of the Balkans,” known for its rich history and diverse architecture. From there, you’ll visit Mostar, where the UNESCO-listed arch bridge connects the city’s two halves and takes you back in time to its Ottoman past.

Next, you’ll travel to the stunning UNESCO-protected Kotor, located on Europe’s southernmost fjord. Then it’s on to Tirana, the vibrant capital of Albania, surrounded by picturesque mountains. Your local guide in the region will be available to you before and during your trip to answer any questions and arrange local services.

 

Day 1 Arrival in Sarajevo

Upon arrival at the airport in Sarajevo, you will be greeted by a representative and transferred to your centrally located accommodation. The drive takes about 30 minutes. Be sure to visit Baščaršija, the city’s historical and cultural heart. Take a stroll through the old bazaar to Bravadžiluk Street, which is now known for its wide range of famous eateries and gastronomic paradise and immerse yourself in the local culture.

Day 2 Your First Full Day in Sarajevo

The vacation package includes a Meeting of Cultures Private Walking Tour, led by an experienced local guide, which takes you through the Old Town and introduces you to important sights including the Latin Bridge, Museum of Sarajevo, Emperor’s Mosque, House of Defiance, City Hall, Old Orthodox Church and more. Day 3 Your Second Full Day in Sarajevo

The Jajce and Travnik Small Group Tour is included in your vacation package and is a great opportunity to explore the western part of Bosnia. The tour takes you to the city of Travnik, which was once the capital of the Bosnian Eyalet and the home of Nobel Laureate Ivo Andric. You will have the chance to visit Andric’s home and learn more about his life and work. The tour also brings you to a medieval fortress located in the Old Town of Travnik before continuing on to Jajce, which was once the seat of power for Mediaeval Bosnia. Day 4 Traveling to Mostar

Day 5 Your First Full Day in Mostar

Please note that this is a non-guided transfer, so you’ll have a local driver rather than a tour guide. Tirana is a unique destination with something for everyone – from the vibrant Blloku neighborhood and historic Old Town to stunning nature and cultural attractions. Enjoy excellent restaurants and bars or relax on the Albanian Riviera or Dajti Mountain. Visit Berat for a winery visit and castle exploration. Day 9 Your First Full Day in Tirana

Day 10 Your Second Full Day in Tirana

Day 11 Departure Day

The airport transfer is included in your vacation package, ensuring a smooth and stress-free start to your journey home. You will be picked up by a local English-speaking driver and taken to the Mother Teresa Airport, located just 30 minutes away from the city center. Make sure to have all your travel documents ready, including your passport and boarding pass, and double-check your flight information to ensure a hassle-free departure.
